When my sister was here we went to Chow for breakfast one day. It’s a popular breakfast spot at Church and Market that I’d been to once before. I wasn’t sure what I wanted when we got there but was curious when I saw quinoa on the menu as a breakfast option. I’d only ever had hot quinoa as a rice substitute for dinner before.
I decided to go ahead and order it and it turned out to be super tasty even though it caught me off guard a little bit that it was cold. The cold quinoa was served mixed with walnuts and topped with fresh yogurt, pomegranate seeds and persimmon. I have mixed feelings about persimmon (great taste, funny texture) but the whole dish was super yummy!
