I recently had the opportunity to do some research and writing into the t-shirt industry. One of the things that interested me most was that there are a lot of different ways to alter t-shirts and recycle t-shirts rather than just throwing them away when you don’t want to wear them anymore. Two of the posts that I wrote about this were included in blog carnivals recently.

30 Ways to Recycle Your Cool Graphic Tees was included in the Reduce, ReUse, Recycle Section of the All Things Eco blog carnival. Other posts in this category were on Enviro Produce Bags, Recycling Plastic Bags and Dealing with e-waste.

50 Ways to Alter Cute Tees into Sexier Shirts was included in the Make It From Scratch blog carnival. Some of the other posts included in this blog carnival were on upcycled sweaters, mixed media art education and warming your home.

Lots of good green and DIY posts in all of these carnivals so have a read if you’ve got some free time.

My review of The Dangerous Passion (a terrific book about the biology of jealousy) was included in a really awesome Book Review blog carnival. I’ve never seen a blog carnival that was done so well. Instead of mere links, it shows you images of the book and the author with a short snippet of the review. Very well done. There were two dozen books featured in the carnival so there are a lot of great recommendations. Check it out!

I’ve been doing some blogging for Maverick Hammers, a really cool company that creates hydraulic hammers for the demolition industry. I’m happy to say that two of my posts for them were included in blog carnivals recently.

First, I wrote a post for them about being green in this industry. It’s not an industry that’s focused on green issues at all so it’s been interesting for me to learn about how they stay green and continue to get greener even though it’s not an industry focus. This post was included in the All Things Eco blog carnival. That carnival is filled with tons of great green links to check it out if being green interests you.

Another interesting thing about this company is how it considers itself to be part of a chain of businesses. Maverick Hammers believes in a job well done because the company knows that failure at that results in problems for many other businesses as well. The post I did about this topic was included in the Muse on Everything carnival.

Normally when I participate in a blog carnival, I write it up as an entire post on its own. That’s because I like to share the different articles and links that were included in the carnival along with my thoughts on the writing there. However, I’m doing it differently this week since I participated in several blog carnivals at once. I’m just doing a roundup because the same post was included in so many carnivals. Just another quick note to let you know that one of my productivity blog posts was included in the Struggling Bubmling Newbies blog carnival recently.
