I love playing around with the close-up feature on my camera. And I love using it to get detailed images of flowers like this purple one that I saw when wandering around San Francisco:

I take a lot of photos of flowers. That’s because I really enjoy having cut flowers in my home and I usually take pictures when I get new ones for the house. Most of the flowers that I put up around the house are put into old wine bottles for display. However, there’s always one flower that goes into the bathroom. Here’s an example:

Last summer I was at an antique store when I came across a bunch of these Gibson girl vases. This one was inexpensive and I adored it so I bought it for my bathroom. I love to put a flower in the girl’s hair.
