Finding the Best U.S. City to Visit
10 Mar 2009Travel is a terrific thing. It adds a sense of adventure to your life. It brings new inspiration into your brain. It allows you to open up and have new experiences, broadening your knowledge of the world around you. This happens almost any time that you travel but some destinations are certainly better for it than others.
Conde Nast has a list of the top cities throughout the world to visit as voted on by over thirty thousand readers. The cities are divided by continent. I’m happy to see that my favorite city, San Francisco, ranks number one on the list for both American cities and all of the cities throughout the globe. I’m also excited to see that number one on the South America list is Buenos Aires, a city that I’m hoping to visit this year due in no small part to the fact that it frequently gets compared to San Francisco.
But I didn’t agree with everything on the list, especially as far as the U.S. cities go. So I decided to make my own list of the top ten cities in America to visit. Some of my choices were the same as the Conde Nast readers (San Diego, New York City) but others were quite different (they picked Carmel, really?!) I’d love to know which ten cities you would choose for a list of places to visit in the U.S. Leave it in the comments!
