I’m really having fun right now playing around with photography that captures reflections in windows and mirrors. This one is a storefront on Grant Street in San Francisco with the reflection of the building across the street included in it. What do you think?

I love the fact that there are so many layers to this photograph. There is the subject whch is a rusty set of windchimes. There is the window behind it including the curtains hanging inside. And then there’s the reflection in the window showing the little clubhouse that’s behind the windchimes.

I had cherries for lunch the other day. They were so pretty that I decided to take some photographs of them. I’ve discovered that doing this sometimes allows me to be more present in the moment, enjoying something as simple as my lunch. What I really love in this picture, though, is the reflection of some of the room’s windows in the bowl.

I’ve been playing around a lot lately with capturing reflections in photos. Mostly I’ve been taking photos of store windows that reflect whatever is across the street from them. In this case, I chose an angle that would let me get the reflection of the lamps hanging right outside the window of a restaurant in San Francisco.
